We are a small hobby kennel, currently living in Southern California. I work for the Army as a Government Contractor working hard to train our soldiers for the trials and battles in Iraq, Afghanistan and beyond. My husband Dan, is a career Army officer, working as a Observer Controller for the same training scenarios that I help plan and coordinate. The Army has so many plans for our family, from sending my husband overseas to moving every few years. We never know exactly what is coming, but we meet each challenge with a hope to learn even more. We have 4 fur kids, and couldn't ask for more from them all. We have not been "entertained" by Boxers for very long, we got our first Boxer shortly after we were married in 1999. My husband and I are members of the Boxer Club of San Fernando Valley, I currently serve as the treasurer for the club. I have been very pleased to have been a member of the Tanana Valley Kennel Club and the Midnight Sun Boxer Club in Alaska as well. We do not breed very often, but when we do, we aim to keep the health and well being of our cherished dogs at the forefront of our minds. My goal for our Boxer futures, is to breed healthy, smart Boxers, with correct structure with the best temperaments. Though I focus primarily on my show prospects and show dogs, I do keep in contact, the best way I can, with all of my puppies and their families. I update my web pages fairly often with pictures of my puppies and their families as time allows. I also enjoy learning more about Boxers, breeding, training and showing and enjoy meeting new people and sharing my experiences and even a few training tips to those that want to know more. Our first Boxer was Scout, Alaskan Naarii, CGC. Scout is a real trip! He is always looking for trouble, and has something to "say" about everything in his life. In his little mind, I never can feed him enough, or on time, and I am always sitting too close to Dan! He keeps me young, that is all I can say. Scout has two qualifying legs in obedience in the U.S. with the AKC, and two qualifying legs in Canada with the CKC, I hope that he will get his Companion Dog (C.D.) title one of these days. I have been very happy to have finished one dog myself, AKC CH. Avalon's Baccarat of Victory, CD, RN, CGC, TT. Bred by Daniel Buchwald DVM and Norra Hansen of Avalon Boxers. He was my first show dog and a wonderful training companion. He has taught me so much about the Boxer World, I never thought possible. I trained Beau myself and in a few shorts months was able to attain, with Beau at my side, his Companion Dog Title, and Rally Novice title. Though he is retired from the breed ring, I have high hopes of him continuing on with his obedience training. Our foundation Bitch, Tara, C-Era Simone, CGC, TT, was the absolute light of my eye. She had so much style and grace, that really was a joy to watch her move. Unfortunately, her headpiece never matured the way I had hoped. She was retired from the breed ring, and made me several beautiful puppies in the whelping box with Beau. Tara is no longer living in our home, she has since been placed in the home of a lovely family in Las Vegas, Nevada, and finally has what she always wanted, kids to play with. Our next dog is Mark, CH. FarMore's Authentic Mark, CGC, TT. Mark is the love of my life - aside from my husband Dan of course! Mark is the product of Beau and Tara's first breeding. He is a very flashy fawn male with many of Beau and Tara's finest points. Mark is very showy, and was an absolute dream to train and a joy to show. Some dogs are just born to be show dogs, and that is truly my Markie. Mark was shown by myself and by Cheryl Cates of Encore Boxers. I put Mark's first several points and his last point on him, while Cheryl handled him to absolute perfection to the majors. I am forever grateful to Cheryl and her sportsmanship both in and out of the ring, a true sportsman for the breed and the sport of dog showing. Mark is now mostly retired from the breed ring, he has now moved on to attaining his obedience and rally titles. Now comes to the newest addition to FarMore Boxers - Flame, TuRo's Fireworks. Flame is a product of much searching and quite a bit of begging, to the ladies of TuRo Boxers and to my husband! Right now Flame is continuing with her training here at home, just getting a chance to mature before she hits the rings, sometime in 2007. Flame is a beautiful fawn girl, and I look forward to seeing her in the ring soon. Well now you have met the Boxers, and learned a bit about us. I hope you enjoy your visit at the website and please drop us a line if you have any questions. |
